Comp restarting while playing MMORPG.?

this has been happening alot lately and i think that my PCI-E slot is shot.

ill be playin either age of armor or requiem when my computer automatically restarts...i did a few tests and got myself a new heat sink and a new PCI-E video card.

but still it kept restarting, so i decided to run my games with my onboard (very slow) video card. and it did not restart.

so i believe my PCI-E slot is shot and that I may need to get a new system board.

can anyone tell me of i am correct?

Does this happen when u play any other games? The system restarting is a sign of faulty hardware. Make sure there is no dust collected and try to play again after you have thoroughly cleaned your system. I think your conclusion is correct and you need to go in for a new mobo.

I don't think it's your motherboard. If your PCI-E slot is shot, it shouldn't be working at all.

Another culprit could be your power supply. If your power supply can't handle the load of your video card in addition to the rest of your computer, the system may hang.
