I want a camera that I can carry around in my backpack all the time and not notice the extra weight. I want to be able to take a very clear picture of things up close (as close as 6 inches, like a bug or something). What feature should I concentrate on that will give me great up close pictures? Of course I want great pictures at a distance too! I suppose I'm hoping for it ALL. What do you recommend?

  1. Hi Amy.   I recommend the Sony brand digital point and shoots.  Ever since I have been using a Sony.... since the first Mavicas came out,  their quality for up close pictures has been excellent and more than I could ask for.   I have taken pictures of ants, wasps,  teeny-tiny flowers, the insides of flowers.... and if I don't giggle while I push the button,  the pictures are in perfect, crystal clear focus.   I would not have to make a decision if I were needing a point and shoot for close-ups or regular shooting because Sony has done it for me.    Thanks for reading.
