Sure this has been done to death, but i'm slowly getting there!

going to opt into a company car scheme, and have the option of trading up for £850. how does this fit into the calculation?

on this example:-

Audi A3 SE 2.0 tdi 170ps 5 door sportback Manual,

151 CO2

49.6 mpg

£21915 P11d value, 21%

£850 'trade up' value

plus private fuel £16900

How do i calculate this, including the diesel 3%?

(higher rate tax payer 32 basic)

  1. Go into the inland revenue web site, it will calculate it all for you.  If you are on a salary of 32K basic, you should not be on the higher tax rate.
