Compaq Presario F500 Laptop Internal Wireless Card

Question

The internal wireless card is going out. I do not see a slot where I can put an external card. My computer repair person says that I should be able to use an external connection because it would cost too much to repair.

Please let me know if this one does not have a spot for an external card or let me know if, perhaps, I can use a wireless card that connects through a USB port.
