Compaq Presario c300 power light blinks..

Question

I have a Compaq Presario c300. When I plug in the AC Adapter... it runs fine for a good while, but then just cuts off. I try to power it back on, but the lightning bolt light on the front blinks 3 times... that's it.When I leave it alone for a good while... sometimes I'm able to cut it back on again....
