Question:

Compaq desktop pc not detecting any hard disk

it happened suddenly that my pc was accidently shutdown and when i restarted it the blank screen appears and when i checked my BIOS setting it does not show the name of my hard disk in its channel devices...

when i tried to solve the problem by reinstalling windows it puts up an error message that no hard drives detected (even with linux).

had my hard disk been corrupted?please help.
