  1. Biodiesel is made from mostly soybeans.  Diesel is made from oil.  Biodiesel is safe to use in any diesel engine.  The diesel engine was originally designed to use things like vegetables, oils, and other things for fuel.  I have used BioDiesel in my trucks when I was driving over the road and I have used it in my pickup.  I never once had a problem with loss of power or performance.  Can't wait to see BioDiesel available in more places.

  2. You can make 50 gallons of biodiesel in your own home for about $2... that is really about the only difference.

  3. This sounds like a homework question..   there is lots of information available on the net about Biodiesel.. look it up..

There is very little difference in the vehicles... it is primarily the fuel that is different.  Biodiesel is a renewable resource and is made from plants and waste (think frying oils from restaurants) and it burns cleaner because it is not made from petroleum.  However, it is in limited supply commercially at least..

  4. Bio-diesel when burned smells like french-fries.

  5. Biodiesel IS diesel. It is just diesel from another source. Any diesel engine can use biodiesel as fuel. Any. No difference at all. All those big 18 wheeler trucks on the road can use biodiesel. So can your diesel pickup truck or diesel Mercedes or whatever.
