Two totally different genre of music and styles and eras for that matter.

Between the two I like Dusty better - however growing up in the sixties when Dusty was popular she was NOT popular with the young - she was thought to be horrifically square and was loved by our parents and grandparents.  (lol) NOW I appreciate her more - but back then I would have never admitted it - she was old folks music - hahaha.  

Madonna has always been just okay with me and I think she is a good "entertainer" but musically speaking only fair. Dusty wasn't what you might call an "entertainer" but as far as vocal talent - she had more...though she was 20 years before Madonna was on the scene.  Dusty was 60s - Madonna came on the scene mid 80s (and still going)
