Why did our Indian cricket team fail against Pakistan cricket team during the final match?(on 14th June 2008) Before the final match Indian cricket team stood as favorites to win the match against Pakistan cricket team but after the final match Indian cricket team became down under Pakistan cricket team. Why & what happened to the Indian cricket team

i think some of the players responded well in the batting.it was the failure of top order .the middle order played a responsible innings&it was a great dissapointing with the bowlers.the players did not feel the pressure&were playing like league match with casuality.but it was a good fight against pakistan after they lost early wickets.

Apart from sehwag, there is no genuine world class experince like sachin or dravid.

Gambhir and yuvraj did well.

However the youngsters, which were rohit, yusuf and raina did poorly throughout the whole tour.

When dhoni and pathan came into bat, they need just 7 runs per over, but both batted slowly. Dhoni in partcular was slow. at one point he was 40runs of 55balls, that is ver bad, considering the team needs 7 runs an over.

The young indian side is overhyped, the youngsters that were, rohit and utthapa also failed in the cb series. It was because of sachin that india won the cb series.

In ODI it doesn't matter how the team is or its previous records.But how the whole team performs on that particular day. Otherwise India wouldn't have won the world cup(1983) W.I. was far better team and they had a good record in world cup.

In this match Pak played better cricket than India and gave a huge target. Though still it was achievable but the psycological pressure of finals / target Indian guys could not overcome. Wicket of Yuvi can be considered as a turning point of this game and failure of Chawala 85 runs in 10 overs was also fatal

indian team is not a machine which can always win.

if you see the overall statistics,you can see that india has won 1 match & lost 1,the same is with pakistan.so the success rate is same.so how can you say pak. is better!

india's top order failed & they couldn't make a good score in the powerplays.dhoni tried his best & played v.well.but he didn't get a good partner & thus,he alone couldn't turn the match.

Its not how bad india played - its how good pakistan played.

Lets not forget the 20/20 cup - PAKISTAN WAS THE BEST TEAM - EVEN BETTER THAN INDIA IN THAT 20/20 CUP.

Pakistan was the only team to win every match before the final in the 20/20 Cup.  India lost against N.Zealand.

And luck played for india in that last over - THE WORLD AWAITS A REPLAY OF THAT MATCH.
