  1. Have you considered consulting a text that compares human anatomy with that of closely related species?  It is called comparative anatomy, and is quite informative.  The local library will have what you need.

Click on this link to view an excellent site for comparative primate skeletal anatomy.  The two most significant differences between monkey and human skeletons are monkey skeletons favor locomotion with all four limbs on the ground whereas human skeletons favor locomotion with two limbs on the ground.  And, monkey skulls are much smaller than human skulls, indicating less species intelligence secondary to smaller brains.

From what I remember, the hips are different.  Chimp hips are longer/narrow and humans are shorter/wider.  Remember Valgus too.  That is important in bipedalism.  There is also the dental formula in the skull of both humans and primates, sphenoid, tail vs. coccyx, prognathic bone structure in skull in primates, occipital bun more prominant in some apes than humnas.
