  1. The Silk Road brought many far-away countries into contact with China and Chinese goods through trade/commerce. Nowadays,  I buy Organic White Tea on Ebay and it comes to me directly from China. See the connection?

Also, news sites, social networking sites, etc. put people into contact with other parts of the world the same way the Silk Road did, but on a bigger level.

  2. 1 internet content is very popular, just as silk was (rate)

2 many people are involved (labor)

    3 much profit (money)

    4 connects different countries (international)

    5 robbers / hackers (security)

    :)

  3. The Silk Road is founded for trades & commerce between the West (Middle-East and Europa) and The Central Plains (Currently known as China).

There was no aeroplanes, ships to travel across from The Central Plains to Europa region.  Since Han Dynasty, Chinese were desperately wanting to sell their more advance stuffs and artifacts to the west for profits.  But the geographical terrians at the western Chinese region was not an ideal traveling route and it's full of dangerous animals, robbers like the Huns and also the bad weather has killed so many traders who were not used to it and were trying to get their goods across the region.

Til today, we have internet.  It has brought to us many convenient both for buyer & seller.  And of course... the courrier services too...
