  1. I worked under a County Manager (council-manager) form of government for years and couldn't stand it. Yes, politicans can be difficult to handle; but nothing compares to the nightmare of a city/county manager with an ego bigger than the mayor of councilmembers who is NOT ACCOUNTABLE to the electorate. It's too difficult to get a majority of the governing body to agree on discipline or termination; therefore, the significant problems posed by these supposed "professionals" who go crazy on the power is virtually unstoppable. I'd prefer a strong mayor ANY DAY.
