Comapred to my straight friends,my gale male buddies are better listeners. They have more empathy to me when I am in a difficult situation in life. My g*y male buddies said they can relate to a person's diffculty situations. They give me lots of encouragement to face the problem

However, those straight guys generally ask me to suck it up and lack of sympathy comapred to g*y guys. Straight guys are less patient to listen to what I feel.

I am lucky to have my g*y male buddies. They are amazing.

How come g*y guys are better listeners and have more patience than straight guys?

  1. Men are socialized to be about hording power, not sharing feelings.  g*y men have already sort of bucked this system by coming out.  Male homosexuality directly conflicts with a society based on competition and antagonism.  In declaring homosexuality, a person defies the heteronormative binary model of s*x and gender and gains a little freedom for non-conforming gender expression.  Plainly, g*y boys are allowed to be a little girly.

  2. empathy. g**s go through every emotion possible on a dayily basis.

  3. Their souls are more evolved.

    Too bad about their minds.

  4. Men are raised to believe that feelings and emotions are feminine qualities. Straight males raised by straight parents are told that men are not suppose to cry and that they are suppose to act a certain way.   Talking about emotions and feelings are just considered feminine.  Thankfully people have progressed a lot in the last few years and men are not held to such strict standards than in the olden days.

    .

  5. Be careful with your generalizations.  I'm g*y and I couldn't care less about other people's feelings at the moment.

Also consider that g*y men can be some of the nastiest people around....especially to one another.  But it's all related to the kind of life experience people are talking about here.

  6. a lot of reasons from chemical imbalance during pregnancy to experiences they have recently.

  7. One reason is, I think, because we've all have times when we've fallen straight on our a*ses and we know how it feels. We've fallen harder than most straight men, and woman.

  8. Str8 men are full of egos. Whereas us g**s are full of empathy. Most of us went through lots of hardship to be where we are, so we know more about life on the negative side.

  9. Empathy....well the male epitome forbids the "alpha male" to present sympathy and emotion amongst the fellow demographic......

    Blame the republicans.

  10. maybe they felt the same at one point or another, like before they came out (if they have) and therefore have a better understanding of difficult feelings and situations.Straight guys are usually more masculine than g*y guys, so they tend to act a bit more tough as if sensitivity is a sin.

  11. because g*y men have the same brain pattern as straight females.

  12. its probably cause they know what were going through & they actually care. and being g*y does make them a little girlier, aha.

i've always wanted g*y best friends,

but my best friend won't turn g*y. D:

  13. Because most g*y people have had to do an awful lot of soul-searching during their life.  They've had to experience a greater range of emotions than most straight people

    It's all about empathy.

  14. Being g*y means you're automatically acquainted with some of the unfairness and misery of life.  Fellow sufferers make good listeners.

  15. I think it's because we've been through more difficulties and times that we just happen to realise that when someone is in a difficult situation, we just automatically show empathy. Cos, we know how it feels like when you've nobody to support you.
