Comparing new and old psp's?

Question

i know the newer psp's such as 2000 has better processing speed, and a bunch of other features that make it more convenient, but is it true that the newer psp's break a lot easier than the old ones if you drop, hit, or strain it in some way?

i have a 1001 psp and its very durable!!!

i've dropped it over 5 times now and its still working just fine :)

well the new 3000 is coming out soon and with this one you get a brighter/clearer picture.  That is the point of them making the new 3000 model
