Anyone give me a help with the similiaritites and differences between the roles and responsibilities of the 2 ?

Based in a private nursery this is?

    -both work for the well-being of the children

    -have to follow laws and document policies

    -educate children and create learning opportunities

    -Work in a team

    -Take responsibilities for their job roles.

    -have a passion for childcare!

    Differences:

    -Pay

    -Job role

    -Manager has to balance fiancial side as well as child side

    -More paperwork for manager

    -NEwly qualified may not have the same experiences.

  2. The manager has the responsibility to assure the goals of the center are carried out in each classroom. The manager has supervisory responsibilities for staff hiring, evaluations, promotions and firings. In some centers the manager also suppervises budget. Perhaps most importantly the manager has responsibility to parents and enrolling children. the manager is responsible for making sure the center meets all licensing requirements.

    Child care workers have responsibility for the planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for her group of children. She/He would evaluate the child's development and meet with parents to discuss progress. the child care worker must know the licensing requirements for her age group. She would maintain the classroom in a safe and healthy way.
