Comparison El Classico - Andres Iniesta vs. Mesut Ozil

It is true that the Spanish player and the Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta often features as a left winger for the Catalan club but considering the fact that Pedro Rodriguez is going to be a part of the starting 11 for Josep Guardiola’s side, Iniesta
is going to feature in the midfield therefore acting as a direct competitor to Mesut Ozil.
Even though the Turkish born German star Mesut Ozil has been impressive for the Spanish side, there is no doubt that he has stamina issues. He is often seen lagging behind most of the speedy players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria and that is the
basic reason why he is often substituted during the 60th or the 75th minute – he lags the same pace and the same concentration that he has during the first half.
Andres Iniesta is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the world as well. If there was one man who could match the same skill as Iniesta in Real Madrid it would have been the Brazilian player Kaka who could simply change the cause of the game
singlehandedly just like Andres Iniesta for the Catalan giants.
Andres Iniesta was the one who scored the winning goal against Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup 2010’s final and he was also the one who managed to find a late equalizer against Chelsea during the UEFA Champions League semi final which helped the team reach
the final of the European tournament and won it later on. That is the basic reason why Iniesta is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the world – he simply never comes under pressure.
Even when Barcelona are trailing with two goals, it is often Iniesta who provides the team with that killer ball that they are lagging or a killer run or even a superb goal that they require at that stage. Last season Iniesta missed one El Classico but this
time round he is going to be present to help his side win the game.
On the other hand, Mesut Ozil has done wonders for not only the over impressive German side which totally shocked everyone during the FIFA World Cup 2010 but also Real Madrid. Ozil looks to be doing nothing on the pitch but he does whatever is required of
him. He plays those simple passes without any skill barely dribbling past any defenders or midfielders but with that one magical touch he can get the ball anywhere and that is the reason why he has been able to give out so many assists for his side.
The German midfielder is definitely going to try his best to impress everyone during the big game as Barcelona is the biggest club that he is going to face in the Spanish La Liga. On the other hand Iniesta knows the importance of the game and he is going
to give his best as well in order to take those three points so that his side can top the table.
