  1. SHUT UP

  2. You have to understand that your dealin with imature 15-22 year olds that realy just want to mess around on this board.

  3. I totally agree!! But ya gotta know that most of these people never even seen Jordan play so they have no Idea what he did..............so they are just speakin nonsense

  4. I don't think it's fair to compare players from different era's. You have to look at rule changes, coaching strategies, and new techniques.

Games in the 1910's and 20's were always by the score of 15-20. Now, is it really fair to say those players sucked? Coaches used to hate guys who dribbled and would bench guys who jumped when they shot. Everything was the two-handed set shot.

Wilt was considered the greatest individual player of all-time until Jordan came. Jordan will be considered the greatest individual player until the next guy in who knows how long. Then the next guy. Then the next guy. But chances are, everyone from here on out will incorporate something from Wilt, something from Jordan and something from the next guy into their game.

It's like Cousy...he used to do behind the back dribbling. Now, it's everywhere. We all learned from him, do it better than him, but he gets no credit.

  5. redundant, maybe...ridiculous, never. why would people not compare current athletes to past athletes?

  6. thats a mystery for all basketball fans.. how people in the past compare against people in the present. This is just a discussion that has kinda gone too far. but its not too bad to compare just because curiosity.

  7. I'm the only reasonable person. I know for a fact that Will Purdue is better than MAD COW BRYANT!

  8. you are the only g*y person here....that is all i know

    MJ IS NOT THE GREATEST!!!

  9. I give the older era more credit. They were the pioneers of the game. For example, Julius Erving, who revolutionized the dunk. MJ with his trademark fadeaway, the same fadeaway Kobe imitates these days. Also Dominique, who introduced more aggressive play in the post.  Todays players are ok, but we have to remember who gave them inspiration.

  10. tell me.... which era is watered down?

    Kobe's or Jordan's?
