Essential oils do not go rancid. carrier oils, however, do become rancid over time.If you come across a carrier oil that has a strong, bitter aroma, it may have gone damaged and shouldn`t be used.

Essential oils are very powerful, concentrated substances that should never be applied directly to skin because an adverse reaction could occur.

Carrier oil is used as a base medium to which a few drops of essential oil are added before use.

Unlike essential oil ,carrier oils are not made from herbs or fruits. It almost entirely made from vegetable oils.

Carrier oils are generally cold-pressed vegetable oils derived from the fatty portions of the plant. Unlike essential oils that evaporate and have a concentrated aroma, carrier oils do not evaporate or impart their aroma as strongly as essential oils.
