1 gallon Maola skim milk is $5.29, 1 gallon of Lowes store brand is $3.79. Anything better about Maola, or am I paying for the 'name'?

  1. yeah um some milk companies pledge not to give the cows bovine growth hormone rbst i think it is for short

though nothing is proven unsafe about drinking milk that comes from cows given this, it is still looked down at because you never know what the results will be

read the labels all the store brands near me also say on them Our farmers pledge- meaning the pledge they are not giving the cows hormones, at that point it doesnt really make a difference

  2. It's all up to the way the drinks are packaged. The milk I buy does not have RBST hormones added, but that's my choice. Check for that label on all milk you buy. At the safeway near my house, we buy Berkeley farms, 2 gallons for 5.35, 1 for 4.29.

  3. Wow!!!  I was just asking my wife this same question.  I had wondered about this for years--why is Maola milk so expensive, who buys it, and why?  All the stores have it.  We don't watch TV, so maybe there is some ad campaign that we haven't seen that lets people know why its worth the cost.

I just searched Google to try and answer this question, but I couldn't find any answers.  The Maola web site just says their milk is better.  I didn't see anything there that indicates they don't use hormones.

Sorry I don't have much of an answer here, but I'm also really curious about this question.
