  1. #1- no, not in hunter. you must have a pin or a plain collared shirt w/o a tie.

#2- no not at any level, the requirments change as you become more advanced at different shows too

#3- yes, except i think there are rules about whether its showing or not... like under a hunt coat, but you theres no requirment for low level xc.

#4-combination....? if you mean colors, show him in light blue or white, and how about BluesClues for a show name?

#5- most of the time yes.

  2. 1- no. if you're a girl, do not wear a tie... only guys wear ties.

2- you need show attire, end of story. it doesn't matter what level you're at. you can't just go into the show ring looking like trash. go to beval.com they have reallyyyy nice stuff.

& i highly suggest you buy either a gpa or a charles owen helmet. don't show in a plastic helmet. it'll look tacky and unclassy.

    3. uh.. i guess so. i mean, if you're going to wear your body protector in the hunter/eq ring, definitely wear it under your show shirt and jacket. if you're doing the jumpers you'll look dumb but the judges aren't going to care.

    4. i'm confused.

    5. white breeches are only acceptable in dressage and jumpers and i guess the big eq...

  3. Hello Jade,

I am in England, I can only help with our rules.

Shirt and tie is best worn with a tweed hacking jacket.

A stock and stock shirt with a navy or black jacket.

For very showy classes and dressage it is better to wear the navy/black jacket.

For working hunter and working classes, wear tweed.

    For showjumping wear black/navy.

No back protectors for out right showing, unless worn under jacket.

    For showjumping, again under jacket.

For x-country, any colour worn on top.

White breeches for showjumping and dressage only

Beige breeches (or canary) for showing.

Depending on what classes for your skewbald, I would choose ; Navy jacket, white stock and shirt, beige breeches, long leather boots (black) and a navy velvet hat.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.  EDIT....For cross country, you should wear beige breeches, if you wear a black jacket you will need to wear a stock and stock shirt.

  4. 1 no

2 buy a show shirt from dover saddlery but #2 is no

3 doversaddlery.com black and i dont think so...

4 i dont understand what you are asking

    5 no, get tan

These answers are for hunter/jumper shows not dressage, so i dont know if you want to take my advise if you mean a dressage show.

My best advise for you is go to doversaddlery.com and they have the best show chothes for hunter/jumper or dressage.

    GOOD LUCK AT YOUR SHOW!
