My best friend (V) is acting weird. Strange. before, we used to never care about anything and we would do stuff together. Now, everytime I change (hairstyle or something), she insults me, in a joking way. Everytime she changes something, I'm happy for her and I have never ever made any mean joke about her, at lieast, i think not. It kind of feels like she is growing up really fast. now she wears heavy makeup and covers her eye with her hair. and she always finds a way to make fun of me, in a joking way. its like there is competition now to see who can be cooler... and it makes me feel bad sometimes. i dont want competition. she is my best friend! like family! i dont know how to talk to her to fix this (like, how to start the conversation without making myself sound like a teacher or an idiot)... and if i lose her, i wont have any best friend! for some reason i live for her? i just dont know what i would do!

  1. If you can't talk to her write her a sincere letter or email.  Let her know she is hurting your feelings by teasing you (because that is what she is doing).  Give it to her when you know you aren't going to see her until the next day so she will have time to think about what was said.

To me it sounds like your friend is jealous of you.  That is just my take on what I read.

Hope you two can clear this up.

  2. plan what you want to say to her. then pick a day you think you want to talk to her. tell her how you feel. if you tell her, then this wont stop. i think it's better to be honest with her than keep this going on
