Competitive Swim Suit fitting?

im 5'8'', 135 lb.

I wear a 34, should i be wearing a smaller size, my coach told me to try a 28, and it was suffocating me...should it feel that way?

im 6' 180 and i fit perfectly into a 26 fastskinII (legs)
also remember that your racing suit should be tight as you only will be wearing it for your race and it will be made out of a material that is much more delicate then that of a training suit so it will strech over time (remember to rince suit off with cool tap water after usage)
if your looking for a training suit i wear a 32 speedo mesh drag suit and a 28 brief under it incase one comes undone and i loose it off the wall

so the tightness of the suit will depend on what its use is
