  1. They shower after a jump b/c the outside temp is colder than the pool and it is a way for them to keep their muscles warm.

  3. because the water temperature and the room temperature is different. The pool is warmer and when you come out, and your muscles are exposed to the cold, it will tighten. I'm a swimmer and it's the same thing for swimmers, except we wear clothes. if you jump with tight muscles, you will be stiff..

  4. The temperature difference between the waiting area/benches and the water is really big, so after a dive, they go straight to the showers (which have warm water) so that their bodies stay warm and they're muscles stay relaxed until the next dive.
