is this normal that my husband is always complaining about the way i do stuff, spend money? is this something normal to always be corrected and being laughed at? sometimes i feel like my husband thinks i am a r****d or something. today we had a fight bec. i liked a flat screen tv and said something about possibly getting a one, instead he flipped out on me saying that i am a cause of his financial problems and that I should pay his credit cards off. Now when I think of that I think he is only thinking of me as a burden. I dont mind helping him financially but I am paying most of our household stuff, rent, phone bill, electricity, i left him car insurance and our bed and life insurance.... am I really the guilty one?

  1. This topic is common in a lot of marriages. If you are spending beyond your means and are not budgeting for items and not communicating about your spending habits then its bound to lead to domestic arguments.

If you are married, it shouldnt be about fault finding, more on how to fix things. Blaming is not a proactive way to deal with a situation and constant blaming (which is also known as fault finding) will ultimatly lead to resentment by either yourself or your husband.

You both need to have a serious talk about finances and when it is approriate to spend and what on cause as i have already said blaming each other for things will not fix anything.

Please tell me if im wrong but blaming is not just a financial topic does fault finding spill onto other issues also.

Thats how I used to be with my wife until i sorted myself out.

  2. Ohh yes you are.. YOU ARE THE GUILTY ONE..

No not really.. Men who can't afford things get really mad when women want the guy to buy stuff they can't pay for.. Its a Ego anger thing..

The most you can do is suggest you want something and leave it at that.. then maybe you will get a suprise..
