  1. c) vegan diet, is probably the answer they are looking for, although it's not really true. The belief is that animal protein is "complete protein", and other protein isn't, so people who don't eat animal protein need to "combine proteins" to get all the amino acids. The "complete protein" myth has been disproved, and the person who originally invented the theory even said they take it back. There are vegan sources of "complete protein" anyway, including soy, quinoa, and spirulina.
