Question:

Complete hair overhaul! Pictures included, and advice needed, asap!?

Ok. Ready to go back to school next week Tuesday, and I'm booking a hair appointment between now and then to get a complete hair overhaul.

I currently have thick wavy hair, down to around my shoulder blades, somewhere around a mousey brown shade (roughly like the roots of this- http://www.just-hairstyles.com/curly/c83.htm).

I'm looking to go a sort of sun kissed dirty blonde, something more like mid way down her hair, however I don't want to spend a fortune on it, and I'm also terrible at keeping regular visits to a salon (unless this is needed).

Just wondering what sort of upkeep is needed, and how I would go about achieving a dirty blonde colour, like in this picture from asos- http://www.asos.com/Ted-Baker/Ted-Baker-Check-Fitted-Wool-Pencil-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=321044&cid=5158&clr=Grey&sh=0 (look at the darker bit at the top, as opposed to the blonde midlengths. you can view a cloesup if you click on the picture and then drag.) If you need any more information, I will be happy to supply it. Also, if anyone can possibly quote a rough amount of how much it may cost for this and a trim, I would be very grateful. Regards. (:

  1. I wasn't able to see the first picture you posted, but the second one was a pretty color, it's very natural looking, and you can't go wrong with that, if you get that one though, get lighter highlights, not platium or anything, you know what I mean. Check out this picture, http://www.makeoversolutions.com/gallery... I think this is a very beautiful color, it's very fresh and natural looking, for more ideas check out this website: http://www.makeoversolutions.com/gallery... it's a gallery of different blondes, also check out this http://clairol.com/ there is a lot of helpful information, it will help you choose a shade and give you helpful tips. As far as hair care, I love John Frieda's line for color care, the sheer blonde always left my hair bouncy and soft. Your stylist can give you more tips to help with your particular head of hair. Good luck, I hope this was helpful.
