  1. iconic home theatre system is best suited of your need, as i can perceive and this is available at very low cost. it has a unique feature of automatic adujstment.

for more information pls visit the site www.iconic.co.in or call

  2. just go to best buy and tell them how much money you working with

  3. hmmm for kids!   well i'd buy an lcd tv separately, and get a decent "one box" surround setup, with small satellite speakers that can be wall mounted out of sticky finger range.

a one box solution means it's easy to set up as well, unless the person you are buying for is surround sound savvy.

i've posted a link to give you an idea.  They are very well priced, so you can get a nice big hdtv to go with it :-)

EDIT: yes your budget allows for a great separates system, i only made the point of a one box solution for ease of use and kids being involved. If the folks you are buying for are audiophiles and home cinema buffs then yes get seperate speakers, reciever, and dvd player.  (dont get polk though if you are going this way they are ...ok....but there are far better speakers on the market, b&w kef infiniti svs to name a few.)

  4. You said that your budget was $6,000. Is that correct ? Because, for that amount of money, you can get a LOT of good equipment, and better gear than a cheapie out of the box all in one.

I'd still shy away from Sony on this. The quality for the price just isn't there.

If you're looking to ship this anyway, I would strongly suggest looking on amazon.com, as they sell a lot of gear in this area, and often US shipping is included. Plus, they have some very good prices on some stuff that will be better than what you could get at a Best Buy or a Circuit City.

For instance, they have a nifty Polk audio 5.1 speaker set, list priced at $600, for about $250. Polk is a very good speaker maker, too. Home theater receivers start at about $175, and go on up from there. Look some over, and see how their various sets of specification, such as how many/what kind of connections out and in they have, and consider your choices.

If you need a DVD player with that, same comments, and also for a TV to go with that. What size and type do you want ?

They have wires and accessories, too. Good hunting.

  5. For 6000$ you can get a very very nice system. I would go to your local best buy or circuit city and listen to all the sound systems and look at the Tv that really stands out to you.

A good Should be around 2500-3000$

A great sound system around 400-100$

all cables and other around 100-300$

  6. I would go with a PS3.

    Denon 4308

    orb audio speakers7.1 set up.

cables should be easily 10% of the total system cost.
