  1. I believe you mean beta oxidation   during the process the fatty acyl CoAs are sequentially cut ...a two carbon unit at a time ...with each cut there is an oxidation performed by FAD and one by an NAD   so for each cut an FADH2 is formed and an NADH is formed. For a 12 carbon fatty acid ..that will be 6 two carbon fragments  requiring FIVE cuts to achieve ...so five cuts = 5 FADH2...this figure does NOT include the FADH2 that one would get from each two carbon cut unit ( an acetyl CoA ) going through the TCA cycle Which would yield an additional 6 FADH2s ).So given the possible selections ...5 is the appropriate one
