  1. 4:R eq =R1+R2+R3....in series circuits so answer is 75 ohms

    5:I=V/Req ,12 / 75 = 0.16 amps

    6:W=I^2 x Req = >{16/(100) x 16/(100)} x 75 =1.92 watts

  2. 4) the sum. 75 ohms

    5) I = E/R = 12/75 = 0.16 amps or 160ma

    6) P = EI = 12*.16 = 1.92 watts

    .

  3. 4. In a series circuit, you just add up the values of the four resistors. 15 + 20 + 35 + 5.0 = 75 ohms

    5. Using the equation R = V/I (Resistance = Voltage/Current), you can find the total current. 75 = 12/I so I = .16 = 1.6 x 10-1 A

    6. You can you the equation P = VI (power = voltage x current). P = 12 x 1.6 x 10-1 = 1.9 = 1.9 x 10^0
