Complicated question about the Royal Marines?

Question

If I happened to serve in a foreign military that was still a part of the Commonwealth (Canadian Forces) first, would this bar me from later serving in the Royal Marines?

I would meet all other requirements, like age/nationality/medical/etc, so am I legit?

you would have to apply for a work visa first but you need to get in touch with the uk embassy where ever you are to really find out...
