Component cables help?

The xbox 360 comes with component cables... there are 6 plugs total the component video (teal, blue red) plus what looks like the regular composite (yellow, red, yellow). does the component video plugs give audio or do i need to hook up the composite audio ones too (for a total of 5 plugs?)

component video cables only carry color signals hence the name video

You should just hook up the green red blue for your video and the white and red for your sound.  It should be labelled on your TV.
