Components or Coaxials?

Is there really a sound difference between component speakers and coaxials? I am choosing between alpine type r components or type r coaxials.

  1. That is a topic that has been debated for the last 10 years or so. The components will sound a little better. But, nothing that is really that noticeable. I usually choose components over coaxials for the crossovers. That's where the difference in sound is. Not in the orientation of the tweeter.

    If your headlight dims with the bass notes, the “BIG 3” might work.  If not an H.O. alternator will be needed, or else be prepared to pour a lot of $$$ for batteries.
