Composite and Component AV Cables for video ipod?

What's the difference between the Component AV Cable and the Composite AV Cable? I have a video ipod and I'd like to be able to watch the videos on my tv, I've found I need one of these but I can't tell what the difference is.

this site will give you an ipod just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want an ipod (like me).

component is much better connection but picture only so also need audio cable. composite transfers picture and sound so easier. depends on the quality you want.
