Question:

Compounds in a crew boat or ( a comp rowing boat)?

ours are made of griafit and something else its relly week but ther but they sware its one of the ligthest ones in the wold my question is what other elaments/compunds/matrials will make a strong rowing boat and relly ligth becase of careing to the water and will not make alot of resitance i am offering 10 points btw

  1. Fiberglass is a great compound to use for boat building because it is strong, durable, and lightweight, particularly if you use fiberglass sheeting in combo with the resin.

    I have a plywood home-made rowboat that I patch with fiberglass - the same stuff you use for car repair.  I wish the whole boat was fiberglass as it would be so much lighter.

    There are sites all over the web that describe using fiberglass sheeting for kayaks or small rowboats - I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with that material.
