Comprehensive coverage questions?

Yesterday I was driving home during a thunderstorm and a large branch fell on my car scratching my hood,part of the door and cracked my fender,I pulled over and moved the branch from the road.Will my comprehensive insurance cover this? Do I need a police report?

  3. Yes. Weather related damage is coveraged under comprehensive coverage. You will not need a police report. If the adjuster who is working your claim is not familar with where you live they can alway check resources like the weather channel etc to confirm there was a storm. The claim is considered a non-chargeable loss. You will have a comprehensive deductible that will apply.
