Compton satisfied after scoring half-century in third Test – Cricket News Update
Rookie England opener Nick Compton was happy to play the supporting role as his opening partner and skipper Alastair Cook went on to score a record 23rd century in the ongoing third Test against India, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today, December 6, 2012.

“The more time you spend out there the easier it gets, I've tried to work on that and obviously Alastair does that very well. It does get easier, especially in these conditions because the wicket's quite slow and you get used to the pace of the ball,” he added further.

“The first thing is to get to their score. Once we get to their score, the runs become a bonus but we need a substantial lead again because the wicket is quite good.”
