Question:

Compulsive stretching of the neck, ankles, wrists, and back.?

For a few years now I have had a compulsive urge to stretch my neck, back, wrists, and ankles every few minutes. It used to be less often but it's been getting more frequent as time goes on. (I stretch my neck side to side. Not up and down or twisted)

Stretching my ankles, wrists, and back aren't as annoying as I can hold off for a few moments until it is unnoticeable to stretch but my neck is more embarrassing and noticeable.

This feeling resembles the feeling of restless leg syndrome. Kind of itching sensation that causes me to strain or stretch.

I am worried that doing this, especially to my neck, will cause long term injury. A few times while stretching, my neck has cracked or popped. I don't think this is a good sign.

Thank you for your time
