Computer Freezes when connected to internet.

Question

My computer keeps freezing while I'm connected to the internet. It does not freeze when not connected. A while back my computer was always dropping the interenet connection but I changed where it was hooked up to the phone jack and now it freezes every half hour to hour. What can I do?
