she says her hardrive is not playing dvd's sound and video

well its playing them but at a slow rate not a normal speed

(she had this problem before and she had to restore her computer which she lost all of her data too) so she wants to know how can she fix it without restoring it and yes she reset her computer and did the PC diagnostic and yes everything is in place (i think its a glitch because this didnt happen early)

So you think you know how to fix the Problem???

  1. Right, Your Computer May Not Be The Right Hardrive For Games And Dvds, It May Be An Office Computer, So There Is No Way You Can Fiz This PRoblem :)X Sorry

  2. use system restore or put back to factory settings.. i have just had same prob and worked a treat...

  3. 1 Run CHKDSK, it restores missing files.

    or

2  go to Start>Run and type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. That'll replace any missing or corrupt system files

  4. Well your optical eye might be damaged....if u put in dirty cds or scratched up cds in ur cdrom u can really damage your optical eye that scans your cd or permatly damage it...the only thing i can say is try running the dvd through windows media player...if that doesnt work then try using this media player its free and works for any type of video file types
