Computer Monitor LCD DVI watch TV on it, how to?

What i'm asking is how am I gonna be able to watch, HD tv on my LCD monitor it supports HDCP, and it has DVI, so is there a DVD player out there that has both a Cable hookup, and a HDMI output so I can convert that to DVI on my LCD screen?

  1. You need a DVI-HDMI cable or converter. Second your going to need some speakers. Powered computer speakers will work. You will need a female 2.5" headphone jack to Male Stereo RCA cable. There is not a DVD player with cable hookup that I am aware of. You will need a cable or satellite box with HDMI or DVI. All the HD Boxes have one or the other. You can get an OTA (over-the-air) Antenna for HD channels but you'll need a tuner to do it this way.

    You can run it through the computer with a HD-TV Tuner card. I don't recommend this way because more electricity and the HD Tuner cards kinda suck.


  2. Your question makes no sense.  The HDMI output is from the video card... the LCD Monitor doesn't need it.  You'll need to buy a HDTV Tuner usually used via USB or a PCI slot in your PC.
