I normally leave my computer on as it goes into 'sleep' mode if left on. Came home today and the monitor was black with power button on 'orange'. I moved my mouse to 'wake' it but 'No signal'. I turned off computer to try and re-start but monitor had no image just 'no signal' when I pressed some power buttons. I tried another monitor which seemed to do the same thing. Help!! Is this serious??

  1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the tower.  Wait about 20 seconds and plug it back in.  Try again.  If it does the same thing, on 2 different monitors, then it sounds like your video card has issues.  Do you only have one video output on the back of your system?  If you have an on-board one as well, then unplug the video card from the motherboard and try the on-board one.  if you only have one, then you may need to replace the video card completely.  This is of course assuming that you cannot get into safemode with F8.  If you can get into safemode, then try uninstalling the drivers for the video card, and restart normal.
