Computer Problem! Please Help!?

I see green and pink stripes all over the place, but I'm able to see through them. This is really annoying, I'm running a full scan right now with Windows Defender. I'm not sure if my monitor is the problem, because when I press the menu button, it shows the menu normally. Please help!

  1. Generally with a problem like this there are a few solutions to check:

    1) Make sure that the monitor cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer (if it is a desktop)

    2) Try another monitor on the computer to see if it is able to display properly

    3) Download the latest drivers for the video driver on the computer

    4) Replace the video card on the computer and test with a known working monitor

    Generally if one of those steps fails or passes you'll know what the problem is.  With this it is most likely either a cable or video card problem.  If the other monitor works though that means your original is shot.  If another video card works then that means the video card is shot.  If none of these change the problem then it is most likely a motherboard problem.
