Ok, my computer is stuffed full of pictures and music and goes really slow doing anything. it only has like ten gigabytes left and i've tried using the clean up and stuff to make it go faster but it still goes slow.

Anyways my question is if i buy an external hard-drive will it make it go any faster and if not what can i do?

P.s. Is there something with f1or f2 or something at boot up that will allow me to wipe my system clean?

thank you for any help!

  1. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

  4. Hi buddy!!!

Do a defragmentation.... Speed will go up....

  5. Hard drive space has nothing to do with processor speeds, so no need to do anything drastic.  Look into Defragmenting your drives in Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Defragment.

Also look into CCleaner, which can help eliminate any unused Temp files, broken links, registry files, and optimization.  (  http://www.ccleaner.com  ) .  Plus, its free!

P.s- Also look at how many processes are running on your desktop, clear your Statup folder (Start Menu > Programs > Startup) to only have necessary programs running (mainly just virus protection).  Still, if this doesn't help, you may have root kits running invisibly in the background.  Look into Spybot (  http://www.spybot.com  ), to search for any potential malware or viruses that may be chugging away at your speeds.  And, yes, its free, too...who says the best  things in life aren't, huh?

Let me know if this helps!
