Computer/TV and Eyes?

Question

I am on my computer quite alot and watch my tv alot at night time is this harming my eyes well i know its harming my eyes but in what way and what effect will this have on my eyes.

I would like to be a pilot when i grow up im 14 by the way, will this effect my sight?and how (shorter or blurred? etc...)

i have also never been to the optition, but i havent really had many problems with my eyes.....should i go to the optitions and get them checked out?

Try a doctor or try doing other activities such as reading or playing outside. Also have no fear by the time you are old enough to be a pilot they probably will have new inventions for bad eye sight. Also there are things such as glasses and contacts to help you see better. ^.^

Best to have your eyes tested every two years to see if any changes evident but only to a reputable company.

T.v is o.k at normal viewing distance but prolonged computer monitor may effect them eventually as you tend to sit closer to a computer monitor. TFT types seem to be easier on the eyes though as opposed to tube types.
