  1. Move the virus to the avg virus vault, it will be safe there and do no harm.

  2. Get avast 4.8 for home. I had the exact same problem and avast is the one that sorted it. get rid of AVG and go to Avast/for home/free.

  3. try to update your AVG, SpyBot and Malwarebytes before running a full scan.

  4. Try Uninstalling AVG and install avast anti virus.. It will resolve the issue easily... It has boot up scanner toooo

    gud luck

  5. "c:\system volume information" is the System Restore for the computer and is not accessible in any way.  Go to your System Restore options and turn it off to erase the Restore points.   Then turn it on again.  It should then be gone.

  6. Get rid of AVG There are only two good securities  to use Kaspersky 2009 or Norton on line.

  7. try scanning it in save mode f8 when ur computer starts

  8. run the AVG scan again the click on move all virus to the virus vault the delete all the virus in the vault then run the scan again remember to get the updates each day

  9. here try this combo

Nod32 anti virus + advance window care V2 + spybot = Clean fast computer

  10. I've just had that warning to. Can we get viruses by asking questions on answers or do we have to open a file somewhere.

  11. Right, Try Going Onto Your Computer And Entering The File With The Trojan On It. If This Fails, Macaffe Is A Great Virus Protecter, When I Had A Trojan It Stopped t Straight Away. If This Also Fails, Take It Down To A Computer Menders, There Great With These Sort Of Things, The ONly Thing Is, It Might Take A Long Time To Sort It Out :) x Hope I Helped :)

  12. This will cause your computer to lose it's system restore points, but will work.

Right click My Computer and select Properties, Now click on the System Restore tab at the top of that pane and click on Turn off system restore. Wait until the timer has gone back to being a pointer and click Turn off system restore again.

What you have just done is remove all the system restore points including the one with the trojan and then set a new restore point so you cannot restore before todays date.

  13. it has detected the threat in a system restore file, which means it will only affect you if you use system restore to go back to a time before the virus had originally been deleted. It should not affect your normal use of the computer.
