  1. Everyone has an addiction or vice. EVERYONE.

Some include smoking, drinking, adrenaline rushes, gambling, running etc etc.

Your vice isn't harmful to anyone or yourself so why get rid of it?

And about the glasses...The way society is going right now, you're most likely to get glasses any way.

I bet I can guess your prescription...negative 1? or under?

It's the most common prescription due to the screen being too close.

You only got that because the computer screen is supposed to be placed at arms length from your eyes at all times...as well as Game boys and psp's.

I wouldn't get rid of it, there's a worlds worth of knowledge at your fingertips...an entire different world from what you live in a normal day to day life...I see no harm in discovering it and since there's no harm you won't ever be able to pry yourself from it without reason.

I used to be on the computer maybe...13 hours or more a day straight.

You can if you really want to...make your life outside the internet more interesting, believe it or not it's the main reason you keep coming back to the computer...boredom or you're faced with the option of doing something offline that doesn't give the promise of entertainment like the internet does.

If you suddenly stop going on the computer you're just going to jump back on it and stay on even longer to make up for lost time.

Try finding something offline that interests you and run with it...whether it be flirting, dancing, playing in the arcade or hanging out with friends.

  2. Roll pretty much hit it on the head right there.

It's not an addiction to computers, it's a boredom of real life to be honest.

When I leave my computer, all I have for me is TV / relaxing in the patio, or driving to Jack in the box. heh.

It's just things we do. and personally it's the best addiction you can have. Because like roll said, it's a world's worth of knowledge at your fingertips.

If you're really that scared though, just take a break for a day or two and see what happens.

  3. Find a hobby

  4. Get rid of it.

  5. Put a password and then forget it.
