Computer buying help?

What computer would be better for me if I want the student supplies in it but I also want to record music into it? (with firewire). Which one is faster, better, why? How are they different? Please tell me about each one. get the xps 720

they are virtually the same computer however

the dell has better service

better graphics card

looks alot cooler (ive seen both)

although it has .1 less ghz you can overclock it to have 3 (easily)
