In our school there is something installed on all of the computers that when you installed something or change the desktop background or change some of the settings they will all change back to default when the computer is reset, like the programs you installed will be gone.

What kind of program is this or how to disable it.

  1. As a security and maintenance programmer myself I would have to say don't try because most of the time people end up s******g up the root (registry) or other pertinent Operating system files.  The Schools have these programs for reasons mostly not wanting students to install software or save any changes they made to the user account.

However, there is a way to "get around it" if you really want to but it doesn't entitle installing games on the computer.  You can install games directly to a USB mass storage device (Flash drive or portable Hard Drive) and use an application managing program on the flash drive such as portableapps.com.  If it is for School related software talk with your network administrator, library assistant, or principal.
