Question:

Computer connectivity help?!

Well, the problem with my computer is its connectivity issues. It didn't always use to be like this, but it has for about a month and i'm thinking about getting it repaired at my local computer mini store that does all sorts of things in that category.

An example of the problems are: I can't connect to any of my games (i'm an online gamer). Particularly 'Guild Wars', it won't connect to the game whatsoever. Another thing is that I'm totally having issues with my internet browsers. I normally using Mozilla Firefox, or Opera. But those two are really limited to their access on the internet. So...i'm having to use Internet Explorer, which I dislike.

My firewall is totally off by the way, and I've messed around with the settings, but no positive results. I think there may be a few viruses as well, should I consult the computer store so they can fix this, can they really?

Information towards this would be appreciated!!!

  1. It looks like that its a computer related problems. Something to do with your browser. I would suggest that you contact the original manufacturer of your computer. They might be able to support and help your software issue (browser). Regarding your internet connection. Call your ISP. Verified from them if there is a line problem with your internet connection. And if your computer is infected with the virus, call the anti-virus provider. If there's a need to reformat your computer call your OEM or bring your computer to a local computer technician.

  2. My guess would be viruses.  With your firewall turned off it's going to allow more to come in too.  I've been having a lot of problems with my Internet Explorer lately.  If the Internet works fine with your Internet Explorer, read below.  If it's still having problems with all the browsers, it would be a connection issues where you'll want to call your internet service provider.

I would run a virus scan and adaware scan to see if that clears it up.  If that doesn't work, try doing System Restore to before it started having problems.  If that fails, the last resort would be to reformat the hard drive to get rid of those viruses and adaware.  You'll have to follow instructions with your computers manufacturer.  Make sure you back up all your information.
