Hi,

The title says all. Although, this only happens in Warcraft 3 and WoW. What actually happens is, the screen flashes with black lines, and then eventually screen freezes on a single frame. I can alt tab out, BUT, it takes an odd 1-2 minutes to alt tab out and around the same to alt tab back in. When I close the program, and try to reopen it I can open it but I will have the same alt tabbing problems. When it occurs music stops and starts at random rates. It is exremely random, it could not happen for a week, and then happen multiple times within a day. It is very irritating. So I ask, Whats the problem?

I have re-installed both programs, and de-fragmented and it still occurs.

My computer details are:

Microsoft Windows XP Proffession Service Pack 2

2.67 GHz, 3.50 GB of RAM

GeForce 9800 GTX

Thanks.

  1. First I would make sure your computer has the latest BIOS. Do this by going to the board or comps website.

Then make sure you have all the latest drivers for your video card, sound card etc.

Then I would try Service pack 3 for XP

If none of that works then hit ctrl+alt+delete and kill as many unneeded programs as possible before you play.
